Anaz is very very very very good, one more very and you're on to 5 stars however, the starter killed this being a 5 star review. Don't get me wrong it tasted fantastic and was a perfect size for a starter but it took for ever to arrive! I got a Chicken Tikka starter, which is a couple of pieces of chicken on a bed of salad, nobody can say for a minute it takes 30 mins to make that! Negatives out, the rest of the meal was brilliant! The curries were great, my Korma tasted fantastic and matched perfectly with Garlic Na'an, Pilau Rice and as I'm English, some chips (sorry). Menu is vast and has loads and loads of options I've never even heard of before. My friends are more adventurous than me and got personal recommendations from the very knowledgable waiter including a 'wedding curry' which looked and smelt amazing! Decently priced as well I may add, with a starter, full curry with 2 sides and 2 pints of coke (sweet tooth) coming in at £22 for me. A hidden gem in the heart of Darwen, give it a go!
I went here for the first time last week and it was superb. The menu has a wide selection of curries and I decided to try one I'd never had before. It was a delight, ask for the 'wedding curry' if you want to try it. The service was very good and we were lucky to be sat in a booth, as the other tables looked a little less comfortable. This is the only reason I've not given the full 5*'s. The beer on draught is Kingfisher which is a treat. On the way out the waiter always offers you a lolly - no matter how old you are! A nice touch!
Best in Darwen! Can't fault the service or value here. The Shashlik is a particular delight.
